IBS Winter School on AI-Boosted Basic Science 2022
December 13, Tuesday, 2022 @ 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM KST
Introduction
Basic science research has been a pillar in improving human life quality and finding solutions to various global challenges. In finding solutions to these challenges, artificial intelligence (AI) has been a powerful tool. When applied to basic science research, AI can provide models that help us improve our current understanding of nature and ourselves as human beings. At this event, hosted by the IBS Data Science Group, we invite a set of distinguished speakers performing crucial cross-disciplinary research involving climate, drug discovery, and neuroscience. The invited speakers will discuss how integrating AI and basic science can bring long-term societal benefits.
